Southern Maple coleslaw

1/2 head green cabbage
1/2 head purple cabbage 
1 large carrot
1 small yellow onion
3/4 cup ish mayonnaise 
2 tbsp. Apple vinegar
3 tbsp. maple syrup
Salt and pepper to taste
4tbsp of celery seed

With a sharp knife cut the cabbage and onion, peel carrot and then dice carrot peelings. In small bowl or cup mix remaining ingredients to create a nice sauce, then add the homemade sauce to the cut cabbage and carrots. Serve cold.
